Detoxamin is taken every other night.
All dietary supplementation, except vitamin B6 (100 mg daily) is done on the "off " day providing less competition between the removal of toxins and the replacement of the essentials.
The dosage contained in Detoxamin is 750mg EDTA per suppository, compared to the 2 to 3 grams of EDTA that is normally administered in one I.V. treatment. When taken rectally, EDTA metabolizes much slower compared to the IV method, therefore not putting the same burden on the liver and kidney.
The EDTA in Detoxamin is in the body about twice as long, compared to the I.V. method, and has more time to chelate toxic metals.
The lower dosage combined with the slower metabolism are two reasons why the normal array of side effects associated with IV chelation are not present with Detoxamin and a solution to Heavy Metal Overload.
